Indoor cycling AKA Spinning is a cardiovascular, butt-kicking workout that takes us on a stationary but sweaty ride of our life. More intense than a stationary bike, indoor cycling classes keeps things cool with bumpin’ music and a killer class atmosphere. Expect to sit tight for 30 to 75 minute sessions, which can burn up to 900 calories. The intensity varies throughout the class, thanks to changing up body position, pedal speed, and resistance. One of the main reasons why I prefer indoor cycling is the fact that I get to stay INDOORS so even if its raining cats and dogs outside, you can get amazing health benefits like increased bone density and blood circulation, while also making the heart and lungs stronger than usual.

#2 Indoor Cycling is great for any age group

The benefits of indoor cycling, both physical and mental, can be enjoyed by almost any age group from spring chickens to old ass crows. It does not distinguish people based on their age or fitness level.

#3  Indoor Cycling can minimizes the risk of heart disease

A survey by the American College of Sports Medicine proved that people who regularly practice or perform indoor cycling are in less danger of being attacked by heart diseases than people who don’t….  unless of course you walk in on a cheating spouse….YIKES!

#4 Indoor Cycling can lead to extreme Calorie Burn

During a 60 minute indoor cycling session, you can burn 700 – 800 calorie which is equivalent to 15 to 20 miles of bike riding or 2 hours of hot sex..I’m just saying LOL . Cycling is a great way for you to lose weight and tone. All that pedaling works the quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, and core.

Cycling helps you to enjoy sound sleep. It’s no ride in the park because your body will be pushed so trust me you will be super tired afterwards and if you’re not, you probably didn’t push hard enough.  So enjoy better sleep, lower stress levels and deeper relaxation.
