Jump Start with a 21 Day Challenge!

Have you been thinking about jump starting your fitness journey, but just don’t know how to start? Well I have the perfect solution for you, a 21 day challenge. Being that it takes a minimum of 21 days to learn a new habit, this would be the perfect way to get that push you’ve been looking for. Now, there are several different challenges so don’t be intimated when someone says “let’s start a challenge.” A challenge is simply what it says, it challenges you to change your everyday habit for the betterment of YOU. If you need to change your eating habit or if you’re looking to get more fit, there is a 21 day challenge you can do.

To get my 21 day challenge started, me and some of my colleagues came up with a way to change our diet, each week we are targeting something different to challenge so by the end of the challenge it should be easier to wean away from the things that are not so healthy.You can do the same! For example, the first week you can let go of fried foods, that’s a common type of food that most of us get caught up on; second week we can try to let go of bread, all types of breads; and the third week you can try and wean yourself off of meats. You can created a group chat to check in with each other daily by posting pictures of what you are eating. This is also a good way to motivate each other to keep going and bring forth new ideas. The goal for any 21 day challenge, should make you feel better, not only physically but mentally by getting rid of the foods that are not contributing to our diet in a healthy way.

My challenge was just one example of many that are out there. You can find different types of challenges by just googling 21 day challenge. A great app to find ideas to get started is the Nike Trainer app, which can be found in the Apple App store (iphone users) and the Google Playstore (android users.)  Things are starting to heat up outside, with Summer time being right around the corner, we hope that this is something to help jump start your journey to get that summer time bod and mind!
