How to get your Pre Baby Body Back

The latest celebrity mommy to gain the attention of millions after posting a video of her body just a week after giving birth is reality star turned business mogul Draya Michele. Draya gave birth to a baby boy, named Jru, about two weeks ago but you wouldn’t be able to tell by the looks of a video she posted via her Instagram showing off her sexy post baby body. A lot of people were wondering how in the world did she get her body back in shape in such a short period of time. According to Draya, she had a plan well before she gave birth.

Draya took to her Instagram to explain what she did during her pregnancy to maintain her health and not have to worry about post pregnancy weight. She explained that for 8 months straight she was dedicated to her health and the health of her growing baby. “I went to the gym and walked  5 days a week,” Draya said. Some may question is it even safe to exercise while pregnant. There are a lot of different answers to that question and I have some tips to help you decide if it would be the best thing for you when it comes to getting your pre baby body back.

According to fitness expert and author Suzanne Schlosberg, it is definitely recommended to maintain a healthy exercise regimen while pregnant. “The benefits of moving more during pregnancy begin immediately and last your whole life. Your baby will start reaping the benefits in the utero, too.” Research shows the benefits of exercising while pregnant can build your strength and endurance, which will help  rid of the extra weight and the hard work of labor; boost your spirits and ward off depression. Some exercises to do are brisk walking, swimming, aqua classes, yoga and pilates. Also if you’re into any sports prior to becoming pregnant, it is still safe to continue with that sport as long as it feels comfortable for you. Now don’t take it overboard, of course if there are a lot of falls, knocks or extra stress then it would be probably best to sit on the sidelines unless told otherwise by your doctor.

Exercising will not only help with maintaining the health of you and your baby, but will also help during the birthing process. Other tips that are recommended for losing baby weight are breastfeeding, a low calorie diet and getting as much rest as possible. The best way to know for sure you’re doing the right thing for your body is to always ask your doctor first. Hopefully this will help women who are pregnant or who have recently given birth and are looking for ways to get their body back to how they want it.
