Keeping it light for the Memorial day BBQ

Time to light the fire for your Memorial day bbq. But wait not so fast! You probably want to keep your clean eating streak for the summer time going right? So here are a few recipes you can try for keeping it light for the memorial day bbq.

#1 Try avocado with cut up tomato and cilantro for a nice salsa effect without those chips.

#2 Speaking of chips, you may want to buy a bag of fresh kale and season it with olive oil and light lemon and chili powder zest as a fun and healthy snack. (delicious)

#3 No bbq can go without skewers, but let’s try and keep them light. Lots of vegetable and maybe some deli fresh meat instead of heavy beefs or pork.

#4 Save the beef for your lettuce burger. Of course we want a burger at a bbq but if you try it wrapped in lettuce you’ll be surprised how yummy and satisfied you’ll be.

#5 Keep yourself and your guest satisfied with nice appetizers like zucchini brushetta, which again keeps you away from the bread. Very easy to make!

#6 Last but not least, can’t forget the fruit! But why not add some sugar free whip cream to the mix, so your guests go home fulfilled?!

Try at least one of these recipes and I guarantee you will have guests coming back to your house for more bbq…if you want that! 😉
