Keeping your pockets tight this weekend

Temptation temptation! Don’t you just love it when your good friend calls you up to join them shopping, to a movie, night club, or concert? Of course you do! But not when your trying to save some coins.

Let’s be real! It’s definitely not easy to stay in the house so the most cost sufficient way to see a movie is rent a red box and buy a bottle of wine. Rather then spending $40 at the theater, you’ll be spending $15 tops. If you are keeping your pockets tight this weekend, then stick to it. I know, it’s better said then done. However, most of the problem comes from within. If you had a little self control and could think of cooler ways to save money, you wouldn’t feel so bad. No one wants to be bored at home alone or known as the broke friend left out. I get it! But there’s no doubt in my mind that you will continue to be the broke friend left out if you keep getting sucked in to the madness.

Simple ways to spend less

#1 Forget your wallet at home.

#2 Only bring a certain amount of cash out with you.

#3 Invite a friend over and do something at home.

#4 Go do something for free like workout, take a walk, go to the park, window shop, etc.

#5 Visit frugal websites for tips.

#6 Spend time talking to someone who has been broke before. That’s definitely priceless!

Follow these different strategies and you’ll be ok to pay your rent this upcoming week! 😉
