Make your first anniversary special

Making your first anniversary special sometimes seems more important than the wedding itself. Sophia Vergara and husband  Joe Maganiello just made one year! Congrats to the courageous couple that already celebrated last month with family and friends, getting a generous toast from Arnold Schwarzenegger. Talk about planning for your one year anniversary the right way.

If you are celebrating your one year anniversary a month ahead of time then you must really want to make it special. There’s so many other ways to keep it special. Sad statistics show way too many divorces in hollywood before a year even reaches. So how to keep it fresh, you ask yourself?! What should I do to make my one year anniversary special? Without being too selfish try and think about all the things you both love about the relationship and why it still has that spark. Anniversary parties are great and all but how about just sharing it with the people that married each other? Umm, that would be just the two of you. So make your anniversary special by trying some of these tactics.

#1 Hopefully you saved the top layer of your cake from the wedding to celebrate your one year…NOT! I think it’s much easier if you go out and maybe buy a small cake that reminds you of your wedding cake.

#2 You can take the time to reflect by creating a small collage of your moments within the first year.

#3 Relive some good ole times by renting the same hotel or making the same old dinner reservations from that time in your lives.

#4 Make it a night at home with some popcorn and  watch the wedding video.

#5 Take it back to the reception venue and reminisce on those special moments. Buying a bouquet of flowers, won’t hurt to recreate the magic either.
