Mental health is not acknowledged enough. It is a true problem that we have in this world that needs to be paid closer attention to, but most importantly, cared about. I cannot stress enough how important it is to make yourself your own priority. It is crucial to take care of yourself all around mentally, emotionally, and physically. Most of us, have lifestyles that cause so much stress. Every now and then, I think it is okay to have a mental health day.
Fashion icon, singer, and entrepreneur, Rihanna, shared the importance of taking time off for herself. I would hope that it would come to news to literally no one that Rihanna stays on the go making her boss moves. From her rumored album, Fenty beauty, lingerie, and her new fashion line, there is no doubt that Rihanna is incredibly busy 24/7. The star states that she had to learn to take days off for the sake of her health.
I applaud the strength that us women are naturally born with. However, sometimes it is best to take a minute to yourself to relax. We can still be that super woman even after a four hour nap, ladies! If anything, we will have more energy than we did before. Did you know that mental health and sleep are closely connected? When sleep deprived, studies say that it will affect your psychological state and mind. People that suffer from sleeping disorders such as insomnia are more likely to have or to later on develop mental issues. If you are suffering from insomnia, here are some common suggestions from certified doctors:

1.Reduce stress (Meditation)
2.Lifestyle changes (elimination of drugs and alcohol. Exercise regularly. )
3.Avoid worrying

Don’t ever feel guilty for feeling the need to take time off. It is well deserved! You worked hard!
