We all know that saying, “You are what you eat” but have you ever realized after you eat a sweet snack such as candy or a donut, you get a little energy? Then later on in the day you get the itis and feel so blah. Did you know sugar is one of the many ways food can affect how you feel?
I know to learn what types of food we should and shouldn’t eat is confusing and it changes on the regular. However, research does say food does affect our physical health and what we eat affects the way we feel. There are some key things you could focus on for more energy to bust the entire food mood.

Staying Hydrated is a good place to start.
If you do not drink enough water, some people start to feel like it is hard for them to concentrate or think clearly. You have to stay hydrated drink it is recommended that people should drink between 6-8 glasses a day of water.

Eating regularly:
Did you know if you skip your meals your blood sugar will drop and might start to feel tired and depressed. Eating regularly and choosing a healthy choice will help with your energy and help to keep your sugar level steady.
Quick tips:
·      Always eat your breakfast
·      Instead of eating a large meal such as lunch and dinner, try eating smaller portions throughout the day.

Eating enough protein:
Protein helps to build and repair tissues and helps you feeling fuller. Protein also contains amino acids, which make up chemicals your brain needs.
Quick tip:
Protein is in lean meat, fish, eggs, cheese, nuts and seeds and many more!

Getting the right fats:
Getting the right fats will protect your heart and your brain. Fats are a type of nutrient and just like protein your body needs some fat for energy.

Quick tip:
Healthy fats are found in oily fish, poultry, nuts (especially walnuts and almonds), olive and sunflower oils, seeds (such as sunflower and pumpkin), avocados, milk, yogurt, cheese, and eggs.
