Spring forward for healthy food

   It’s a good thing you caught today’s Mancave food. Like you, I am still getting used to this 1 hour change. Did you felt groggy on Sunday? I wish I would have went to bed on time, but there’s something about losing an hour that makes me feel like a sack of potatoes. So spring forward for healthy food and make the best out of your day.

     Some time after crawling out of bed, stretching, and grabbing a cup of Joe, I realized what I was craving something on toast. Seems easy enough right!

   Just go to the deli, where they never have healthy bread, like Ezekiel. Or grab a snack, but it’s always loaded with sodium you don’t need. So I do what I do. I get creative.
This past weekend I went to Trader Joe’s and grabbed these fresh ingredients: Ezekiel bread, wild caught smoked salmon, real cream cheese, which may also be substituted with plain yogurt, then I grabbed cilantro and finally organic hemp seed.

Lightly toast the bread. Smother some cream cheese on both sides of the bread, add a serving of hemp seed, add the salmon, then cilantro.

This heart helpful sandwich isn’t the cheapest for your pocketbook, but the health benefits far exceed the costs.

Bam, Boom, and Voilá!
