Back to school the right way

It’s that awesome time of the year again!!! Back to School is the time of the year that all the kids look forward to seeing their friends again after summer break. The time of year your kids love because it means new clothes, new school supplies and new stuff.

As parents you will shell out some pretty crisp new bills to make sure that your kids are prepared for the new school year. As parents you want the best for your kids and you are not willing to settle or compromise for anything less than that when it comes to making sure that they have what they need.

Back to school shopping can get quite pricey and when you add more than one of kid in the mix back to school can become a mortgage sized payment obligation.

So you will need a few tools and tips to get you through back to school savings and maybe even a little extra something left over for you and the kids to enjoy and save.

  • Tax free weekend

Take advantage of this weekend. You are looking at an overall savings of 6 to 9 percent based on the state you live in. It’s prudent to use this weekend because it usually come right before the school year starts; which is Great!!!

  • Use your resources

Get used to looking at the Ads and specials in the papers. At this point if you are parents with more than one child in school this will be an extremely useful tool to help you stay within your budget.

  • Get the kids involved

Get your kids active in their own education and back to school process by setting up accounts for them. Once this is done provide them with summer time jobs, not child labor LOL!!! For example, small chores around the house to earn money, a lemonade stand, a garage sale, and even help them start their own business to mow lawns for the neighbors. Anything to get them involved in the process. You can use this additional money to buy their school supplies or you can set up College Funding accounts to plan for the future.

All in all Back to School is extremely fun for both parents and kids and with all of life’s every day hustle enjoying this time is probably one of the best times for parents. So enjoy it to the max because time goes by fast and then they are off to college to tackle the world.
