Balancing Work and Family, Christina Aguilera Adjusts

Christina Aquilera is no stranger to motherhood. She recently blessed the cover of ‘People’ magazine to share her beautiful ‘blue eyed’ baby girl named Summer. Balancing work and family is a high priority for Christina.

Christina Aquilera spoke about mom guilt and how she learned to surrender

“You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.  It’s hard to know you won’t have all the right answers at the right times,” Christina adds. “And ‘mom guilt’ is the worst thing ever.” Over the years, however, she learned “to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them, or wants what’s best for them more than you.”

Balancing work and family

Of course, most people say that you have to let go of the guilt. Let’s face it you are super, but your not super women, and you can’t be everything to everybody. We all have put effort towards balancing work and family. I personally don’t have kids, but I’m an auntie and I know my sister wishes she could find ways to spend quality time with her kids, her family, her man all while doing a great job at work. It is not easy and sometimes she feels the same “mom guilt” that Christina Aguilera described.  But, you do have control over your own personal life and balancing work and family will take practice, planning and prioritizing. We all miss the people we love when we haven’t spent the adequate amount of time with them, its only natural…. it even happens to celebrities. But while you are working hard to “keep a roof over your head,” don’t forget about the most important people in your life.
