What you were taught financially

Why do you suck at Finance?

Today most of what you learn is knowledge passed on from people around you, teachers, parents, friends, family and even media. The problem is that a lot of this knowledge does not have anything to do with what will help you become financially knowledgeable.

What you were taught about finances and what is really true is a difference. There is a lot of information that is taught and passed on that doesn’t necessarily give you a significant advantage in life.

For instance:

  • Starting a business is risky
  • The best place to put your money is in the bank
  • Retirement planning is for adults and responsible people
  • Money grows on trees

Ok so I guess by now you figured out that number four is totally absurd and a joke…lol  Just making sure you were paying attention.

But on a serious note when it comes to financial information you get all the information that filters through based on what’s safe and doesn’t seem risky. The truth about this information is that you will not benefit from it because it’s based on what everyone fears financially but not what you need to do to reach a successful financial milestone.

So where do you get the proper financial knowledge? Your answer is not google or the finances for dummies books at the book store. You get this knowledge by finding a financial coach.

A financial coach is someone that will lead you down the correct financial path to success. A financial coach is someone who is willing to sacrifice collecting a bigger check from you in order to see you succeed. So there are main things that will get you to your financial goal.

  • Proper Knowledge
  • A proven Financial plan
  • A financial coach

These three things combined will provide you with the means to accomplish what 95% of the population has not been able to do, and that is to retire financially set. Imagine being able to retire and not have to worry about where money will come from. Imagine not having to worry about your social security income not being enough to cover your bills. Imagine being able to retire early. Who said retirement has to be when you turn 65?
