Fruit smoothie for energy

If you are anything like me, you may sometimes become drained after a hefty workout. It sounds crazy because we think that most workouts should increase our energy, however that may not always be the case. Whenever I feel a bit drained after a workout I pop an energy smoothie in the blender.

So here’s what I did in this instance. I grabbed my favorite fruit, mango, pineapple, banana, (unsweetened) coconut milk,  and can’t forget the peanut butter for a great protein source. This is a pretty simple recipe but I know mango will boost my digestion system and help clear up some acne. Pineapple helps with b6 and folate which helps with anxiety and energy. Coconut milk helps with all of your vitamins b’s which are usually great sources for energy and helps keep your iron in check. The peanut butter is perfect for retaining fiber and antioxidants. Blend all of this up in a blender of your choice. No need for a high speed blender, all of these items will blend pretty well together. And the taste is delicious!

If your into fruit and need that boost of energy after a workout then you definitely want to try this. Remember don’t forget your peanut butter for protein. If you don’t like the fruit I chose well try others and comment below to tell us what you enjoyed most!
